Wedding venues host hundreds of weddings every year, it’s a wonder that they don’t all look the same, but they don’t–that’s where a wedding design comes in. True, your venue should complement or enhance your wedding design in some way, but it doesn’t dictate it. Florals and decor are what truly set the scene and create an experience that’s unique to your wedding. The design for this wedding inspiration was boho-chic. To bring that inspo to life, this team incorporated boho elements like mix and match chairs, dried florals, cane and rattan furniture, and elegant pieces like cut crystal glasses, gilded chargers, and a classic bouquet of white roses and calla lilies.
Boho Chic Dreams created these show-stopping florals like the ceremony arch and the hanging floral installation at the reception. Stop and Stare Events designed this shoot to show couples how to elevate the conventional boho wedding into a chic, modern affair. Choosing an elegant venue was a key part of communicating the formality of the event and Spanish Hills Club fit the bill perfectly. The large windows carried the reoccurring arch theme through the entire wedding and allowed gorgeous natural light to spill into the space that Katie Jackson Photography expertly captured on film. O’Malley Reels was also there to get all of this beautiful inspiration on video as it unfolded. SHAKE THINGS UP
If you love a good glamping trip, curated picnic at the beach, or a weekend in the desert, but you also want your family to feel like they’re at a classy affair on your wedding day, then this inspiration shoot is for you. Stop and Stare Events planned and designed this inspiration shoot for couples wanting a modern, elegant wedding celebration who aren’t afraid to shake things up a bit by incorporating some upscale bohemian elements. Muted neutral hues and a mix of fresh and dried florals filled the design, which complemented the crisp white and black interior of the modern ballroom at Spanish Hills Club. Katie Jackson Photography was the perfect photographer to capture the day, with her exceptional ability to produce timeless and romantic images. The floral designer, Boho Chic Dreams contributed to the vision by thoughtfully incorporating soft and airy blooms along with dried elements of palms and pampas grass throughout the design. The result was a slightly bohemian vibe but still classy and elegant.
A FOCUS ON ASYMMETRY
To kick off the wedding day inspiration, the intimate ceremony space included mismatched upholstered seating along with two asymmetrical statement pieces surrounding the couple. These details perfectly highlighted the breathtaking views of the Topa Topa Mountains in the background. Moving inside, the reception design included a mix of both classic and modern inventory from Party Pleasers. The head table (center) included beautiful rattan chairs and a dusty mauve linen runner. While the two outer tables included square back ghost chairs and no runners, for a more minimal, and sleek table design. A mix of small and medium centerpieces in hand-painted white and tan ceramic vessels and scattered pillar and taper candles of various sizes added depth and texture to the design. The standout feature was the overhead, hanging floral installation above the dining space. If a dreamy cloud of blooms and palms suspended mid-air over a dining table doesn’t make a memorable moment, then we’re not sure what will!
#LOUNGEGOALS
The floor-to-ceiling windows make the perfect setting for an intimate lounge experience for guests to mingle and sip a cocktail while gazing out at the view of the hills during the day or stars at night. A carefully curated selection of furniture from Party Pleasers created a perfectly classy space with a touch of boho, by including items like the mauve, velvet sofa, and gold sunburst coffee tables, all set atop a cozy collection of layered, neutral rugs. The minimal and modern cake by Heirloom Baking Co. was featured in front of the fireplace.
GET THE LOOK
Keeping in line with the classy, modern aesthetic, our stunning bride wore the beautiful Watters, ‘Laraline’ gown (recently worn by the former Bachelorette Raven Gates, in her real-life wedding!), paired with minimal and sophisticated jewelry from Jordan Road Jewelry‘s Modern Love Collection. The groom wore a sleek white suit with a black lapel from Friar Tux. Veiled Vanity Artistry beautified our models with their signature style, featuring a clean and fresh-faced look, for the modern bride.
CARRYING THE THEME THROUGHOUT
And if there wasn’t already a beauty overload, The 84th Hour topped it all off with her stunning invitations, menus, and signage. She designed everything with a modern and romantic vibe in mind. The clean, handwritten script and subtle silhouettes of dried pampas reeds contributed to a minimal and sleek boho aesthetic. To complement the arches that exist within the architecture of the venue, the invitation suite and signage also carried a similar shape through the design. We’d love to be a guest at this wedding, and hope you would too! To see this inspiration in motion, be sure to check out the video.
